Accredited by Microsoft
I’m pleased to announce to my clients and colleagues that I have recently added another industry certification to my resume. Michael Owen Consulting (Vancouver Coast Marketing) is now one of only three Vancouver companies certified as a Microsoft Accredited Professional Company, and one of only 8 located in British Columbia.
Microsoft AdCenter powers the paid search advertising on both Bing and Yahoo, as well as on their family of MSN websites. Their adCenter Accreditation is recognition of a company and/or individual who has met their accreditation criteria, which includes successfully passing a written exam.
According to comScore, Google currently controls over 60% of the online paid search market, while Microsoft (Bing & Yahoo) combined reaches over 30% of the market, which translates into millions of Internet users! In most cases Microsoft can offer a less expensive alternative to Google’s AdWords Network, while still delivering quality traffic and results.
I am now certified by both Google and Microsoft as an expert in deploying and managing campaigns of their ad networks. Whether you are new to pay-per-click advertising, or are currently advertising on one or more networks and want to expand to maximize your reach, if you need a professional, experienced and certified campaign manager I look forward to hearing from you!

Web Design vs. Development
Is there a difference between Web Design and Web Development? Yes there is, and I will explain those differences and the service we offer in this article.
Certified by Google through 2012
Back in April Google announced it would be ending their existing GAP (Google Advertising Professional) Certification and replacing it as of November 1st with a more focused, multi-part exam certification, now called “Google AdWords Professional” (still GAP for short). This change raised the bar for both individuals and companies to achieve Certified AdWords Partner status.
I’m pleased to announce that I have met the new qualification criteria and have completed both the fundamentals and advanced exams to be re-certified as a Google Partner through 2012 and the Vancouver Coast Marketing website can continue to proudly display the “Google Certified” badge throughout its pages.
